Our history
Since April 1994, when Ricardo and Fabrício Axt installed the first loom at home to meet the demand for knits with elastane, Texneo has grown without losing its roots. Three decades later, we continue with the founders at the helm, loom no. 1 in operation, and the customer at the center.
Today we are 500+ collaborators, serving 4,000+ clients in 18 countries and boasting a state-of-the-art industrial park. Our trajectory combines innovation, technology, and excellence, with portfolio expansion and global presence.
Sustainability is the essence of the business: we seek cleaner processes, diversified raw materials, and practices that inspire the entire chain to build a better future.

1994
First dyeing production by Farbe Purchase of the first knitting machine installed in the family
Start of exports to Argentina; Construction of the first dyeing department.
2002
2001
Increase in production capacity to 200 metric tons per month.
Expansion of the factory and unification of the knitting mill, dyeing department, and shipping.
2005
2010
Construction of the new shipping department.
Strategic review for Sportswear, Beachwear, Underwear, and Lifewear markets.
2015
2016
Entry into new markets: North America and Africa; purchase of the first digital printing machine and launch of Maxxi.
Name change from Farbe to Texneo, which means TEX – textile + Neo – new, innovation;
Start of the Jacquard knitting machine;
First Abvtex certification earned.
2017
2018
Entry into the European market;
Installation of a new stenter, increasing production capacity.
Inauguration of one of the most modern knitting mills in Brazil.
2020
2021
Launch of TexneoGreen, a series of more eco-friendly textile procedures;
Creation of the Green line with sustainable products.
Establishment of Texplay and the New Business Board.
2022
2023
Increase in production capacity to 700 metric tons per month.
Celebration of 30 years of history. Creation of the Texneo Institute and separation of the roles of Chairman of the Board and CEO.
